After completing law school, Mr. Likens founded his elder law practice on the principle of being a true community resource. More than just a document drafter, he works closely with each family to provide personal, compassionate guidance. As elder law has evolved over the past two decades in Sarasota, particularly with changes in the Medicaid system, so too has Mr. Likens’ practice — continually adapting to meet the needs of his clients.
Christopher A. Likens is a Board-Certified Elder Law Attorney based in Sarasota, Florida. His practice focuses on estate and long-term care planning, as well as planning for families with special needs. Mr. Likens is an active member of the Florida and Sarasota County Bar Associations, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys (AFELA), and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). He is a past Chair of the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar and the Florida Bar Elder Law Certification Committee, and previously served as Co-Chair of the Elder Law Section’s Public Policy Task Force.
